We did not want to leave there, this hotel is beautiful old!!!
The rooms are well-appointed, the bar is attractive. Had large bedroom and late check-out, really good experience overall. The location is stunning, specially if you want to stay near bars and cafés. What's more, it's relatively near the heart of the city.

This was my first trip to nola in twenty years, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were quaint and very, very clean. The weather was very hot and humid, but the a/c worked great. The staff was very friendly and the gentleman behind the front desk referred to me by name every time he saw me. Also, the location is perfect for the French Quarter, two blocks from Bourbon Street and two blocks from the French Market. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I know that we will stay there again, on our next visit. John from Carrollton, tx.
The only thing I would do different next time is ask for a room with a view.

The hotel was really charming. All of the staff was friendly and very helpful. A group of 10 stayed at the hotel and everyone came away with a good feeling....we will stay at the Richelieu again and also recommend it to others. Actually I did. A women walking in front of the hotel asked me how my stay went since she was thinking about staying there in June. Told her I enjoyed my stay and the Richelieu is a great choice. By the way it is not haunted....i checked it out!
Not happy with the bed or pillows.
